Mr. Mohamed Ali Ahmed is a seasoned business executive with over 22 years of experience in Somalia’s private sector, specializing in industrial development, investment strategy, and corporate leadership. He currently serves as the Head of Investment for the Somali Industrial Association, Deputy Rector of Institutional Development at Al Maas University, and a senior management executive at Shakir Group.

Holding a Master’s degree in Project Management from Open University Malaysia and a Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration from JOBKEY University, Mr. Mohamed is also a licensed member of the Somali Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the East African Business Council. His career has been marked by progressive leadership roles—from production specialist to senior executive within Shakir Group, Somalia’s largest foam producer, where he gained comprehensive expertise in manufacturing operations, procurement, supply chain optimization, and international business development.

At the Somali Industrial Association, he has spearheaded national investment initiatives, facilitated strategic partnerships with global investors, and driven projects that align with Somalia’s economic growth priorities. In his role at the Somali Chamber of Commerce and Industry, he provided leadership in policy development, industrial advocacy, and international representation, strengthening Somalia’s industrial footprint regionally and globally.

Recognized for his ability to build partnerships between government, private sector, and international stakeholders, Mr. Mohamed brings exceptional skills in industrial relations, strategic management, and project implementation. His contributions have positioned him as a respected leader advancing Somalia’s industrial and economic transformation.
